Not good, not good at all. The Packers get the gold medal for clear worst draft, and we're right in that next tier with a handful of other teams fighting for the podium. We got a bunch of guys with upside but they're so raw they won't help much at all this year. The silver lining is we didn't do hardly anything to help us this year so the tank for Trevor path got easier as other competitors for him got better.

Henderson was like the 5th or 6th best player on the board when we took them. Dave reached for a need when there were better players that could have also filled major needs like LT because he is so stubborn he refuses to give up on his obvious busts.

People keep saying we got a steal with Chaisson cause he was mocked to the Cowboys at 17 at lot. He wasn't a top 20 player in the draft he was just part of that huge next tier after the gigantic top 15-16 drop off. Teams saw the Cowboys had a huge need at DE so they put Chaisson there a bunch. They also put Mckinney there a ton and look where he went. We got an extremely raw dude who if we develop him perfectly might be starter worthy in a couple of years. Jefferson had started to emerge as a guy who belonged in that top tier and we could and should have taken him at 20.

Shenault was probably our second best pick. He is at least ready to do some damage when he gets the ball in his hands, but it's not going to be easy to do that with his raw route running and penchant for being in the medical room. He can probably give us a few useful manufactured touches a game though.

Hamilton will do his role, it's just not an in demand role and we paid for it as if it was. You can find Al Woods' who have spent a decade wrecking the run for 2 million in the 2nd week of FA every year. If we had taken him with one of the 4th rounders it would have been a great pick.

Bartch was the best pick of the draft. He has the feet to play left tackle if the short arms don't force a move, and the strength and toughness to play guard if they do. Scott profiles as a fine slot corner eventually but just like drafting relievers in baseball it's incredibly easy to turn failed outside corners into good slot corners. Not awful but the pick could have been used on a solid OL like Muti or a better corner like Hall or Robinson. Collin Johnson could be an ok red zone weapon but meh. The rest of the draft will be out of the league in a few years.
