RB- With Fournette put on blast, you'd figure this position gets addressed rather quickly.
CB2- As the roster stands, it's Herndon and Hayden vying for CB2. There's something very unsettling about that.
OC- Linder is not getting any younger, his best days are behind him.
LT- Only because I want to see how Cam looks post injury. Could be number one.
TE- It made sense not to address this position in the draft. I definitely see them trimming the fat here next offseason, make or break season for all the TEs rostered.
FS- Historically this franchise has been weak at this position. Upgrade would be great but not really necessary.
OT- Swing tackle just in case of a major injury. If one of the tackles goes down it's 2018 all over.
What are the repercussions of just flat out cutting Myles Jack next offseason? 17mil seems like a lot to pay a weakside LB?
You say this like he’s approaching retirement age.
He just turned 28 and is in his prime
He's a beat up 28 though. Last year was the first time in his six year career that he was finally able to finish a full 16 game season. Going to throw another alarming statistic out there for those who thought passing up on top tier offensive lineman in this year's draft was a great idea?
Taylor - 15 penalties last year for 120 yards. 2nd most penalized in the NFL.
Linder - 10 penalties last year for 89 yards. 10th most penalized in the NFL.
Robinson - 10 penalties last year for 67 yards. Also tied for 10th most penalties in the NFL.
We were the ONLY team to have three offensive lineman inside the top 10 in penalties last year. They combined for roughly 29% of the entire team's penalties last year. These guys (with the exception of Taylor) can seldom stay healthy, cost us on critical 3rd downs or would be touchdowns, yet, we're supposed to believe Marrone when he says "we good" going into 2020 along the offensive trench.
This isn't counting the pressures, blow up's in the backfield that led to no push in the ground game, the missed blocks that led to Foles early departure from the team and the hits that Minshew absorbed that ended up putting him in a knee brace and banging up his groin at one point.
We'll see how it shakes out this year. But they're really pushing it by not adding enough quality depth to compensate for these guys.
