I hope he does. People are being pretty disrespectful towards him and the Jags in general.

Obviously, winning early to build some confidence and momentum will be key for a young team. After this past decade, I understand the pessimism, but if Yannick plays and Allen progresses (he will),  we could have an elite pass rush on defense with a highly solidified linebacker core. Losing Bouye hurts (I would have held onto him), but he wasn’t really a difference maker last year. Couple that with all the new red zone targets minshew has to work with and a RB in his final year of contract, and I think we may see more out of this team than most expect. That said, I’m a hopeless optimist.
I agree with this I’m dumbfounded at why everyone thinks we are gonna be so bad and way worse than last year makes no sense to me. Because we lost an aging and declining bouye and Campbell? Well how about that we added Schobert, henderson, Chaisson, laviska, Eifert, and allot of run stuffers up front. Also some underrated role players like Thompson. Then add in the progression of minshew in his second season plus Allen and Taylor. Not sure why this team looks so much worse than a team that should have won 7 or 8 games if trash Nick foles didn’t start 4 of them

I think a lot of this is because there a several people that like the dump on the Jags (like the media) or they are hoping that the Jags fail to get Trevor Lawrence. (Like some Jags fans want). They are trying to name and claim catastrophic failure for the Jags. Which is what a 2-14, 3-13 record would be, like I've seen some people predict. Some of the same people said that they just knew that Nick would outplay Gardner in the starting position and was predicting that Andy Dalton would come and take the starting position away from GM as well. A lot of times when people make these types of predictions it doesn't go the way they want it to. Especially when it's this heavy handed.

I don't think that the team is that bad. I don't think that the team is nowhere near as bad as people is making it out to be.  There is definitely some nice talent on this team and I could see them winning some games, (and more than 2 or 3. Or four).

If people want to guess a lower number for the the Jags win total, I think predicting four or five wins would be a better guess, than 2 or 3 games. I think that 2 or 3 games is too low of a prediction. Though, I personally could see the Jags winning more than four or five games.
