So carrying out a death sentence without a trial against people who have may or may not have committed burglary. Yeah, that's going to de-escalate things, and opening fire on unarmed civilians is always the morally right thing to do.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that the Minnesota government didn't need help, because they absolutely do, but a tweet that uses "THUGS" in all caps--a word that is identified by many in the African-American community as being the same thing as calling them n-words--is inflammatory and tone-deaf.
