Yes, socialism is global. In the vast majority of the world, it's not a dirty word either, and many socialist countries are significantly more harmonious and prosperous than the states. It's only you fools that think of it is as some black-magic voodoo devil-worshipping.

In free countries such as ours socialism is pretty close to being a "dirty word".  We are not a socialist country and the vast majority of us don't ever want it to be.  What sets our system of government apart from many other countries is the opportunity available to each and every person, no matter where they come from or the color of their skin.  A perfect example of that is the very owner of our favorite team (Shahid Khan).  He came from Pakistan with very little and through hard work became a successful business man.  No other country in the world offers the same opportunity.

For every Denmark, Sweden or Norway that you might point out I can name a Cuba, Venezuela or even England from the 60's and early 70's.  Heck, just in the last couple of decades look at what happened to Greece, Spain and most recently France and Germany.

Socialism does not work and is a failed system.  Perhaps learn about the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics because that is probably about as close of a comparison to the United States as you can see.  Some misguided individuals think that we should become the next USSR (United States Socialist Republic).  That's never going to happen here.  Perhaps learn about the Berlin Wall then ask yourself this.  Why do socialist/communist countries build barriers?  Is it to keep people out or to keep people in?
