Ultimately, I think Occam's razor applies here. For me to believe white supremacists are the largest agitators of the violence, I would have to believe 1) ANTIFA decided to sit this one out. 2.) White Supremacists didn't want any peaceful protests, so they mobilized immediately to start trouble. 3) The studied and adopted ANTIFA's tactics to frame them as well. 4) Worked and conspired with young blacks and progressives to incite the riots, using a shared language and hiding their southern twang.

The other scenario: Young people who have received training and experience, who take advantage of any civil unrest, who believe that the destruction of the capitalist system is paramount, used that  training and experience to take advantage of civil unrest and attack capitalist institutions. Ad to the fact that they know where the protests are going to happen and they are well funded and defended.

Also (can't believe I forgot the biggest point), these protests and riots are happening world wide. You think the white supremacists are in Quebec? Inciting the people with their fine use of French?

You know what is world-wide? ANTIFA. Socialism must be global. It's part of the ideology. White supremacists are nationalist.

I just have a lot of trouble believing ANTIFA is more significant than the punk rock kids of my generation who would go to concerts hoping to start fights in the moshpit with anyone they perceived to be a skinhead. Never went to a concert where stuff like that went down, but I heard plenty of stories from friends who did.  Nothing more than black eyes and bloody noses.

Difference being, now we have social media and what might have been just a little hometown scuffle turns into a national conversation that nobody really has time for, but no one can turn away from either, compulsive, addictive behavior like a troop of chimpanzees that just found a fig tree for the first time in their lives..
