Again, I didn't initially respond with this because I understood the point of your example, but the scenario just seemed a bit off. Not to nitpick, but a better example might be stopped at a gas station.

I understood the original post. The guy is heading toward the daycare in his car to drop off his child. The cop doesn't know the destination because the father is not there yet when he's pulled over. The guy who abducted a child is a different person than the guy who is pulled over.
