They said the same thing about Baker Mayfield upcoming sophomore season and you see what happened to him last year. Sam Donald didn't exactly light it up either and although the Vikings went to the playoffs with Teddy Bridgewater as their QB during in his sophomore season he regress that year as well. Let's not forget about Robert Griffin sophomore season and Sam Bradford sophomore season wasn't his greatest either. I'm just saying that it's not a guaranteed that Gardner Minshew will improve because a lot of things have to be in place for him to be at his best.

That's what I'm saying, we don't really know. But I have a feeling Minshew will be less like the guys you mentioned and more like Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco, Josh Freeman, Cam Newton or Andy Dalton in their second years. None had truly great second seasons but they were all solid and played better than their rookie year. And Minshew had arguably a better rookie year than those guys with the possible exception of Newton. We'll see.
