Granted there have been fleeting moments of "tried and failed" approaches but the receiving TE in Jax has been largely swept under the rug compared to other offensive areas of focus.

I agree. It has been swept under the rug too many times. We brought Kyle Brady in as a free agent back in 1999 and then waited 7 years to draft Lewis in 2006. And Lewis so below average in the passing game outside of his Pro Bowl season.

Teams like KC, Patriots, Eagles, seem to always have a good TE. We have been putrid compared to those teams.
