The experiences that would add to the conversation are things that happened to your growing up, things that are happening to your kids, or what happened to you the last time you dealt with a politician or a doctor, because when you tell me about your actual work experience I just dismiss it as irrelevant as in these next bloviations of an intellectual lightweight punching above his weight class.
Those are the things that really make you ask the "why" of life, where better discussions start.
but it seems like around here people are only ever sharing their work experiences, and work is a bunch of "what." good workers rarely ask why, the folks signing the paychecks already asked why for them. the good workers just ask what and how. And that's all as it should be, but it's not a very interesting discussion for people outside of the field.
