I wish we could have a civil conversation about this, but we can't.

So, that said, even if Breonna was 100% innocent, she was in a bad situation. It sucks. That police department needs to look at it's tactics. It's not evidence of systemic racism, and it certainly doesn't justify what we are seeing nationwide. I understand why the black community is fearful, but these tactics are only going to lead to more death in the black community. I'm not comfortable with that. The fastest way to solve this problem is for us to collectively attack the media and politicians that exploit this demagoguery for their own selfish interests.

On that subject imagine if the headlines read something like: “Career criminal shot by police while resisting arrest”?

I am still arguing with family and friends that cannot get past the initial false headlines regardless of how many facts have come out since then.  It’s like the narrative is set and no amount of factual information will change that.  I cannot even get them to concede he was reaching into the car and not trying to drive off.  I asked them to get into their cars to drive.  Now did you step into the car right foot first or stick your head in?
