This backs what Russ Lande stated in a radio interview with Dempsey on 1010xl recently.  Re: Bridgewater, the scouts he's talked to like him but didn't love him.  They aren't sold that he's top 10 material.  He went on to say he hasn't found a scout yet who says there's a single premier/franchise candidate in this draft class (and the only one mentioned as the closest is Manziel.)

 

Therefore, can't you realize that the exact same thing very well could be happening all over again with this QB crop?  Skip the false prophets at the top, opt for QBs later who are better value, and continue to look for your franchise QB instead of making a bet you can't afford to make by settling on one (by forcing that pick with a reach) in 2014.

 

I started a thread a while back about an AFC scout saying Teddy Bridgewater is not a first rounder. The only complaint that got a lot of attention was Louisville lied about his weight (which is not a big deal if he can bulk up before the draft).

 

When Russ Lande says he has not found a single scout yet, he needs to tell people how many scouts he talked to. Until he does, his words hold no weight.
