Minshew was an extremely experienced college QB who had 140 more attempts in just his senior season than Murray had in his entire career. Murray also spent most of his life with baseball being the main focus. It shouldn't be shocking that Minshew would be better right out of the gate.

Minshew had a better rookie season by a hair. It would be insane to prefer him over Murray to lead your team going forward. But as I often say, fandom aka fanaticism is a hell of a drug.

I think this is the year that will tell the tale. Minshew has his back against the wall with imo an offense not quite as good as what Arizona has. I think Hopkins addition is huge for Murray. But if Minshew is able to match Murrays stats, i think it'll be quite an accomplishment and give Minshew a real opportunity to be argued as better or just as good as Murray.
