My only question about this whole thing is if Farmer were already in your front office/scouting department and you thought him to be a rising star, why bring in Lombardi at all? Why not promote Farmer in the first place?

They probably looked at the Jaguars, saw that they hired a GM from within that they thought to be a 'rising star'. Saw how it turned out, and decided against it.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.
