Agreed completely.

In those AFC Central days, my hatred of the Steelers was higher than it was for every other team in the division.  Sure, I wanted to beat those guys, but the Steelers were at another level.

Then, the Oilers were...pesky.  They became the tacks...and they grew into hated status.

But even now, I get more of a charge when we play against the Steelers (and to a lesser extent the Ravens) than I do playing against any of our current divisional foes.

Every team wants to think of Pittsburgh as a rival. Pittsburgh fans love the game as much as they love their team.  Rare to find a fan base so numerous that will still tell you "good game" after you beat them.

I don't buy that about Steelers fans.

It's easy to be a fan of "the game" when your team has had all of maybe 6 losing seasons since 1970, have been to 8 Super Bowls, winning 6.

When the Jaguars play in Pittsbburgh, they clear out that stadium fast.

I would like to see the Steelers fanbase after a 2008-2016 Jaguars level era of sucktitude.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!
