I don't even know for sure what an IRA is. The only IRA I know is the Irish Republican Army. Weren't they a terrorist group back in the late 80's/early 90's? 

I don't know anything about deductions for mortgage. I just take in the paperwork that the state sends me through the mail and give it to the tax guy.

Lol, well, it's good to see your opinions are based on strong knowledge of and experience with the tax code.

I never, ever, ever claimed to know anything about taxes. Numbers are not my thing. If I knew anything about taxes, I wouldn't have been paying someone to do my EZ form. I don't wanna have the IRS come after me for making some mistake, so I hire a professional. The thing is, you don't have to know anything about taxes to believe that a flat tax, where everyone pays the same rate, is fair and just.
