2014 NFL draft prospects compared to 1984 NBA Draft prospects

Anyway, Jordan was not the best prospect. As I mentioned before Hakeem was considered the only real prize of that draft. The "superstar". The rest of the class was considered to be able to provided depth and pieces to help build a contender. But in no way was he considered a franchise player.

Even the GM has said so on numerous occasions.

<p style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color:rgb(0,0,0);font-size:13px;">"Back then, the knock on Michael was that he couldn't shoot the ball,"

Thorn recalled. "For a long time, that first season, he just drove the ball

<p style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color:rgb(0,0,0);font-size:13px;">to the basket and he didn't need a shot. But Michael was so smart, he learned from taking some mighty licks.

<p style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color:rgb(0,0,0);font-size:13px;">So he said, 'I gotta get a jump shot,' and he got one. But when we looked at him for the draft,

<p style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color:rgb(0,0,0);font-size:13px;">he was 195 pounds and 6-6, so he was kind of thin. So the biggest thing about him was, can he make a shot?

We wondered what kind of shooter he'd be."

<p style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color:rgb(0,0,0);font-size:13px;">

<p style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color:rgb(0,0,0);font-size:13px;">

<p style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color:rgb(0,0,0);font-size:13px;">....So a basketball player....who couldn't shoot, was considered the best player in that draft???? ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THAT STATEMENT YOU MADE?
Clearly you have never seen Jordan play in college.

He was the best. Most athletes or Jordan's caliber lack a consistent jumper coming into the league.

What made Jordan so amazing was his use of his incredible athleticism to get to the rack.

He was unstoppable going to hole.

Even as a rookie. its when he ran into the Bad boy he really rounded out his offensive game
