Should I still watch this team lose?

Though as the season progresses I will definitely go out to bars to watch less as the losing stacks up. If they make it on TV here I'll watch. Describes my attitude fairly well; except I just don't watch rather then get frustrated with the insanity repeating itself. I will say if no changes are made after this season (this is assuming the Jags don't miraculously pull a 7-9 season or better out of their rears) it will make my jags loyalty hill harder to die on. No way to justify that to other fans who will inevitably ask me: "why are you a Jacksonville fan? they continually lose"; those other teams who are factories of sadness like us, yeah, they are BUT....they at least tried to change it up; an argument can be made, at least for Cleveland, they tried too much or too often, not having patience needed sometimes; but by golly, they at least tried changes with staff, GM's, and drafted QB's rather then neglect the position as we did for far too long. There is no scenario beyond the miracle of progression this year that should justify the retention of Caldwell and Marrone. To me, it sends the message they don't care about winning, nor the fans. We have crossed the line that Cleveland didn't get to, which is patience, but not too much patience. For cripes sake, we just became the first team in NFL history to lose three straight games to winless teams. I feel as if the team takes "setting the bar lower" as a personal challenge. |
