I hear you, but by their 2nd seasons you knew there was something special about all those guys.  We don't see that with Minshew... he will have until the end of the season to show us differently.  Brees was the latest developer of that group, but you could still see it in his play... San Diego let him walk because of injury concerns over his shoulder.

Weird thing is, i'm not sure if this make me happy or sad when looking at the whole picture.

I'd say he is 3rd behind David Garrard, but could catch up to him if he keeps improving.
