I like that. I fear your right and Caldwell and Marrone sold Khan that 2017 was on them and let them do it again. Going to be a hell of a call by Khan to keep them if we have a 1-3 win season.

I'd happily make Bieniemy the HC and have someone like Phillips focus on D. Make someone like Keenan WR/OC but have Bieniemy running the O like McVay for example.

I really like the idea of Allen and Chaisson crashing in from a 3-4 but as I've only seen them as DE's I'm not sure how we they would hold up in pass coverage.

The secondary would get killed but we do already. It's not a long term solution but I dont hate that on paper.

Can't be worse than what is going on now...
This is a results-oriented business.  There are no trophies or titles given for "moral victories" or for "winning the draft".  Our record with DC is 37-86.  6-10 is our 2nd best season in 8 years of Caldwell leadership.  These are the FACTS.
