And yet it still keeps happening. I'm to the point to where I don't really trust Jay anymore either. He's not doing his best to help this offense succeed. He did in the first two games, but after that they have regressed, in spite of some continued and promising play from people like James Robinson.

I did see in another thread someone speculate if Jay was trying to sabotage the team. I'm not sure about that, but something isn't right here with the way he's been calling these games. Granted he could be finding himself constantly being concerned about the team going down multiple times. And that is why he keeps throwing the ball a lot, but he needs to stop resorting to that. And do what is more effective for this team in a game. Which the last few games should have been running the ball. Yet Jay really hasn't been doing that.

He needs to focus more on making sure the offense is effective as possible and believe it or not, not worry as much about the defense. That should be Todd/Doug's job. Jay needs to try and make the offense as smooth and effective as possible. If he had done that, I think this team has at least a couple of more wins. (The Texans game, and maybe another one). If Jay does a good job of maximizing the offense's talent, he could end up with another head coaching job sooner, than later. Maybe the Jags or someone else.

I wonder if he's already become tired of working for the Jags and isn't caring as much about what happens with this team. Something just doesn't seem right about his play calling these past few games.

Really agree with you here. He does seem to let the score and situation take over his play calling. He has his system, we dont have to score straight away but if you just keep putting something on the scoreboard. The kicker situation has really not helped and some of those misses have come back to hurt us but I couldnt tell you what our O system really is right now. There is talent and I'd hoped to see more plays for Shenault and using weapons to get favorable matchups for the WR's.

The shine has come off the Gruden apple since Cincinnati. There was a shot at the end of the Miami game and it looked like a guy who realised what hes taken on. I wouldnt say he wants the HC job for any reason than having a job. Is he thinking the Marrone stink is going to land on him too?

I would like to see Shenault used more. He has done some impressive things when he's been featured. I would also like to see more from our Tight Ends, though Tyler has been dealing with injury the past couple of games. Speaking of injuries this team is dealing with some and that's having an impact on things as well. Though, there are other teams who are dealing with a lot of injuries/missing players as well and they have looked more competitive than us, recently. (Like the Chargers).

Unfortunately, IMO, Jay doesn't seem to be caring that much right now. And truth be told, by reading his comments I think neither does Doug.

But if things don't change, it's going to continue to be really ugly for the Jags. Sad thing is as bad as they've played, I think they are a better team than what this record shows. There is enough talent on the offense for a couple of extra wins.

Changes need to be made, and someone needs to provide some sort of spark to help this team.  At this point, there isn't much positive I can say/hope about the Jags somehow possibly salvaging this season. Other than that last season Miami was really bad early on (and had embarrassing losses). But towards the end of the season they turned things around and won like 5 of like 8 games, giving the team some hope. Could the Jags do something like that, right now it doesn't really look like it. But maybe they can generate some sort of spark somewhere and stop playing so demoralized.
