Ya know... not sure Wash getting fired would actually fix what's going on with the defense.
Caldwell just purged the defensive side of the ball of most of the talent and veteran leadership and then hoped that rookies and 2nd year players would be good enough. I'll admit, I didn't think any level of our defense would be this bad. It's real bad. Henderson is good but he's a rookie. No matter who we line up at safety, it's a problem. The depth behind Henderson and Jones is laughable right now. The DL is young and/or untalented.
Jack and Scho are good LBers but when Jack goes down the lack of depth is a glaring issue.

That isn't to say I wanna keep Wash... I just think it's gonna be this bad or worse all year.

Marrone is probably the guy that needs to go... Maybe get that interim HC bump.
But that means sacrificing draft position at this point. I never want to lose. But the awful defense would be easier to swallow if the offense was putting up points. 13, 14, 16 points scored... That ain't on the D or Wash.
