1.  If this had been a "normal" season my guess would be that at least Marrone would be gone next week going into the bye.  It's going to be the mid-point of the season, the record says it all and making a change going into the bye would make sense.  I don't know who would be the replacement as an interim head coach in the meantime but I imagine that would be the limit of firings at this point.

2.  Since this has not been a "normal" season and since Marrone and Caldwell got contracts extended through the 2021 season they might be retained.  Consider also the moves that were made by getting rid of players that I assume were viewed as "problems" (Ramsey, Ngakoue, Fournette, etc.) as well as getting rid of management assumed to be a problem (Coughlin) it was known that this season would be "tough".  This was known prior to or around the same time that the contract extensions of Marrone and Caldwell were given.  During this time the team also loaded up on draft picks and cleared cap space.

I think that I as well as most Jaguars fans have a "short term memory" regarding the whole situation.  I as well as many Jaguars fans are thinking that perhaps situation #1 should happen at the very least.  However, after looking at the "big picture" over the last year I'm thinking that Khan retains everyone for the remainder of this season going into next season, and situation #2 is what is going to play out.  I think that when he extended Marrone and Caldwell's contracts he basically gave them 2 years.

It pains me to agree with you. I don't think Khan is going to fire them this year. It has become perfectly clear that Khan doesn't care about winning.

Regarding the part in bold, I have to disagree with that.  Us as fans want the team to win and want them to win NOW.  I imagine Khan also wants a winning team, but is willing to be patient with building it over time.

There are 10 kinds of people in this world.  Those who understand binary and those who don't.
