Always picking 5th or 7th isnt what hurt us, its just who they picked.  I also wouldnt take fields with the 2nd pick, id take Sewell.  I dont want to take a QB just because we need a QB,wWe need to take the BPA, we need some All Pros.   You can find a QB outside of the 1st and 2nd pick.  Pretty much all the good QBs in the league didnt get drafted with the 1st or 2nd pick.  Either way we will likely get a high pick, and the new GM just has to hit on his picks regardless of the position and thats how you build a winning team.  Along with getting the right coach

I completely agree again. I get the interest in a Lawrence or Fields. It's a potential future star and QB is so important. But like you've said, we have holes all over. Sewell looks the best T in years to come out, I think we could use an elite player anywhere on the D line or LB. That's my main argument for Minshew, yes we can find better but theres plenty I'd fix before him. 

We also need to settle on what type of O we want to build and then bring in players that suite that position. O has had so many changes with coaches and players that its parts of like 3 previous O's thrown together.
