It seem to be mostly Jags fans now who constantly criticize, talk about removing/benching Gardner. I noticed that when the news came out today from Ian Rapoport a lot of non Jags fans were the ones that were defending him. They know this situation in Jacksonville is rough and some of them believe he could succeed elsewhere. 

The trade deadline is November 3, I do wonder if a team would inquire about him. I'm not saying the Jags would trade him at that time, but you never know. And I still believe you could get higher than where he was drafted for him.

I certainly think Minshew is getting criticism that should be getting spread about. It's part of being QB, you get the glory for the W's, blame for the L's. My position has stayed the same. Yes you can get a better QB but hes way down the list of things to fix for me. The D gives up 30+ every week so we need to be this high scoring O and we arent. I notice a lot of quiet about that TD throw to Conley. That ball was perfect.

I really do think his draft pick is the anchor he will have round his ankle for his career. We had 5 years of Bortles as he was learning and I think Minshew is better.

The other thing I think people overlook with Minshew, his salary is so cheap. He is worth a lot more than we are paying and we your starting QB is on $800k, you can be extra aggressive in FA, you can afford that extra pass rusher. Throw in all the draft picks and I think you can improve big chunks. 

But I get if we are #1 or #2 going QB.

Oh, yeah didn't see as much praise for that throw, but people sure were really emphasizing his mistakes. It's getting to the point to where people, (mainly Jags fans) don't want to give him credit for anything. Some Jags fans have really turned on Gardner (starting with the Miami game). And very critical of everything he does, while not really giving him credit for things he's done well.

What I find interesting if how a lot of non Jags fans are sticking up for Gardner. Some of the responses/quote tweets in this thread made by Big Cat Country who used to be a big Gardner supporter, made me lol. (Now he likes to constantly criticize/blame Gardner for a lot of stuff).

Some of these people are non Jags fans and aren't with people like Big Cat Country bashing Gardner like that. They know he's not the biggest problem and it's more than just him.  A QB is incredibly important for a team, but even a good one can only do so much. Heck look at Justin Herbert, and how well he's been playing and he only has two wins with the Chargers. (Largely due to some major issues around him including injured/missing players and questionable coaching decisions).  Or Joe Burrow and how he doesn't have many wins in Cincy, due to the issues they have. Often times problems on a team are more than just on the QB, and Gardner is not the worst of the Jags problems, though some people/Jags fans want to act like he is.

I do think that if the Jags get the first or second pick they will probably go with a QB. And I understand that. But I don't care to see people constantly bashing Gardner, trying to blame him for most of the Jags problems. It's getting old. If the Jags get a top pick and want to get a QB, then I hope they trade Gardner to a better situation for him. I'm fine with him being traded to another team where he has a better chance of being successful.
