You know the Eagles have already lost to Washington and were lucky to pull out their game against the Giants?
Nah, you probably don't.
We are the only franchise in the league that sees Gardner Minshew as a viable starting quarterback. As hard as we try to project our teal flavored bias on to other franchises, it simply won't work.
Jerry Jones is in full tank mode and Dallas will be a top team in 2021. The Eagles have the best QB in the division (as hard as that is to type), so the cream will rise to the top.
There are some people of other fanbases that like the thought of Gardner as a starter. And after his first two games there were multiple people including analysts who viewed him as a starting quarterback.
Even in spite of his recent injuries/struggles he still has performed better than some of the other starting QB's in this league. He is still top ten in passer stats playing with a messed up hand for three games. His accuracy has fallen off but his TD to INT rate is still better than others, including Carson Wentz. He's projected to throw 30TDs this year. IMO, it's not surprising that some people think he can be a starter.
Also, I do wonder who will end up winning the NFC east. That division really is bad. If Dallas were healthier I think they could do it with Dalton. And who knows maybe Ben DiNucci, depending on how he plays. But they have been decimated by injuries. They are actually not that much better off than the Jags right now, if you can believe that. Philly has a good coach, but they've really struggled this year and Carson hasn't looked good a lot this year. I thought that Daniel Jones outplayed him in that Thursday Night game against the Eagles. Daniel Jones looked better throwing the ball when he had time and looked more decisive. Carson was making some really bad throws in that games, including one where he made a dangerous throw across his body. And he kept missing wide open people. And that was without an injury (at least that we know of.)
Washington maybe could win it if their QB situation was better. But they don't have the best QB situation. And the Giants continue to have struggles like they have for the past few years. I do believe that seven wins will win this division, (some people think even less). I think it really is more of a toss up right now. I'm going to guess that maybe the Eagles do win it. Unless Ben DiNucci comes in, plays really well and lights a fire underneath the team. (Though I do believe that the Cowboys are very likely to go back to Andy Dalton once he clears the concussion protocol. He can be decent but that has not been enough to really help this team thus far).
