Yeah. Minshew shouldn't get his job back.
He can't even throw a 15 yard out-pattern. That route is there when they're playing off to respect Chark's speed.  Jorts wouldn't have even attempted that 1st td pass. Throws parachute passes instead of lasers. Football zings across the screen to TEs in open spaces in the middle.
Seeing Chark's #s and body language,  he won't want him back there.

I do believe that DJ was probably happier to be utilized more in today's game. Though, Gardner has utilized him well in the past and they have built good chemistry before.  This year Gardner has spread the ball around more, in addition to having some issues including his injury. We'll see what happens and how Jake plays going forward. If the team still isn't winning, DJ still won't be that happy. And/or if Jake has a rough game and doesn't end up connecting with him as much as he did in this one. I do think it's premature to say that Gardner "shouldn't get his job back" after one game, that was still a loss. (Albeit the closest scoring game this season).
