I guess they didn't hear about the guy who hacked Florida's voter database and changed DeSantis' information. 

No, the guy wasn't a foreign actor but he still probed a vulnerability. I know people would say if that's the worst thing that happened then we're doing good, and to a degree that is a correct statement, but the fact that it was done successfully shows the information is vulnerable and stricter safeguards/measures need to be implemented at the state level at the very least. Who is to say worse won't happen?
