Quote:40 times are dumb but for RB they're even less useful. They are important if a team is thinking about moving a player to a different position. For example, everybody was saying Malcom Jenkins should be a safety in the NFL because he was too slow in his 40 to be a cornerback (in the 4.5 range). He never played safety at Ohio State. But most of the time it is a very useless statistic. |
