1. I mock anyone who I feel deserves mockery. Frequently, that's myself. If you think anything I said applies to you or triggers you in any way, I do not apologize and do not regret any butthurt I may have caused you.

2. Funny. I've seen the refusal to pass a stimulus bill tied to just about everyone. The Democrats want a "we print all teh moneys!" package that will turn into an even bigger inflation bomb than the first bill did. McConnell didn't want anything passed before the election because he wanted to make sure Democrats were seen as unreasonable in hopes of killing their election chances. After the election, Trump [BLEEP] off to the golf course and has only shown up occasionally to remind us all of how great he is, and he's shown zero interest in actually governing or getting anything done since.

To be clear, I think this election went perfectly. Democrats removed a man who wants to be America's first true dictator, not a dictator-lite light FDR aspired to be, from the White House, but they failed to take the Senate (Loeffler might fall, Perdue's going nowhere), and Republicans gained in the House without taking it. It's a balanced government at its best. Nobody's going to get everything they want, and everybody's going to have to compromise to get some of what they want. This wasn't a broad condemnation of the GOP. It was a strong, loud and clear rebuke of Donald Trump and nothing else.

I agree with you.  I wanted Trump removed, and at the same time I did NOT want the left wing of the Democratic party to gain any power.  So, really it worked out just fine as far as I'm concerned.  Biden has a perfect excuse for not going far-left.  And that is, "Sorry, I can't get that through the Senate."  The election was a victory for moderation.
