My PERSONAL Manziel-Bridgewater Comparison.

#6

Quote:Good try good try, I commend you.

Several things

Bridgewater's arm is stronger than Manziels

Manziel is not all that accurate (especially due to the fact he is throwing to wide open receivers). Bridgewater to about 35 yards(After 20 his balls flutter)
is easily the most accurate in the class (includes timing, anticipation and throwing to windows) Deep balls to lack the umph, too much reliability on touch

Tough to really get a grip on JFs football IQ due to the type of offense, he misses reads in a spread offense (worrisome), High IQ only becomes higher in the pros, Manziel will likely not catch him

Athleticism is a wash, Manziel is Manziel, Bridgewater does what he needs to

Size: Wait till the combine for assuming or you'll look stupid

Leadership: Brett Favre attitude???? What does that even mean in terms of leader ship?????? Manziel is a fiery guy (which I like), Players at Louisville had a ton of belief in Bridgewater apparently

Gabbert?? Rodgers shows gabbert like emotion too

I commend you though, you tried

Still have no idea what you are looking at though lol
Who I want will come down to hand size at the combine, Tyler Wilsons deep balls flutter and everyone thought it would be fixable, then they measured his hands...

A lot of people talk about Manziel’s arm strength negatively, but I don’t see why. He has a very strong arm. From what I’ve seen, in terms of pure arm strength, I’d put him second above Bridgewater
and behind Mariota. He is able to throw the ball for chunks of yardage at a time through the air, and honestly he could probably throw it a whole lot further if he put his weight behind it (he has footwork issues which I’ll address later). One thing I was also pleasantly surprised with was his touch. He knows how to control the arc of the ball pretty well, but it’s not fantastic. I would also put him second in this category, with Mariota at third (Bridgewater is far and away the best touch passer in the country.) Anyway, I digress. He is also, as you can see from the statistics, very accurate. 80% accuracy against the best team in the country isn’t normal. It’s very good.
