At last, at long long last, Khan is acting like he's actually interested in our results on the field.

I would not be the least bit surprised to learn that Khan is finally acting in order to leverage his Lot J bid. Maybe Lamping finally got in his ear about how city residents are ambivalent about supporting deals with a chronically losing franchise. 

It's doubtful Khan is actually that disconnected, but I have a feeling his positive investment returns tend to cloud his ability to discern the influence of popular opinion.
