Glennon starting again against the Vikings, Gardner benched.

According to various people on Twitter including local reporter Eugene Frenette Mike will be starting against the Vikings. Acoording to him and others Doug, Ben and Jay think that Mike gives the team the "best chance to win". I had a feeling this was going to happen.

I have to wonder how genuine this belief is. Granted Mike was decent in last week's game but I wonder if they really believe he will keep that type of play up. He could play decently this week and keep the starting job for the rest of the season. But he could also play poorly.

I think that one reason the coaches made this move is becuase they are mad Gardner didn't disclose his injury. Other people are speculating it's because they want to tank. Though if that's the case the easiest way to do that would be going back to Jake. Maybe they feel Glennon is the best choice to "competitvely" tank. And are concerned Gardner might have a better shot at winning games. I don't believe that overall Glennon is better than Gardner. His game last week while decent was not better than Gardner's first two games this season IMO.

Anyway, this doesn't bode well for Gardner or his future in Jacksonville. I saw on Twitter a a tweet saying the coaches haven't decided if Gardner or Jake will back up Mike. If that's the case that's even worse for Gardner. Him even being considered being relegated to 3rd string is rough let alone if it actually happens. Say what you want about Gardner but he doesn't deserve to be third string QB behind Jake. If that happens I definitely think that increases his chance of being traded. Which I still think could happen.
