Hard to say! That was the whole issue.  Folks who weren't even involved in the conversation would ding you and never explain if it was because they thought you were bring rude, or they thought you were silly, or if they just disagreed.

But that's over now. We will never know.  Those conversations are over, and the people who gave the dings probably don't really remember why. So I forget about it too.

Now, if you want me to know that you have a problem with what I'm saying, you have to say it yourself.  It's helpful.

You do realize some likely down voted you simply because they disagreed with something you said. No malice, no discontent. Just disagreed. 

Someone might say Queen is the greatest band ever and I'd have to disagree. Someone could say Adidas are the best athletic shoes and I'd disagree. A difference of opinion is sometimes just that and nothing more. 

You make it more personal than it most likely is when you come back with nitpicking, name calling, insults, etc. Or when you act like you know better than others.
