He looked every bit the franchise QB the first three games- even allowing for an off game against the Dolphins- until he fractured his thumb. Ridiculous to not put him back in now that he's healthy to see if his level of play raises back up.

Here's to Marrone and his henchmen getting pink slipped and Minshew getting paroled from this garbage skow to go to.a real NFL franchise like all the other escapees.

I agree and Jay and Ben turned on him quickly as well and backed Doug playing Glennon. Even though Glennon hasn't won anything and the Jags aren't in contention for anything. And I don't really buy that they think that Glennon gives them the best chance to win. He's not better than Gardner IMO, and Gardner wasn't originally benched for performance. And what are they really trying to prove by playing Mike anyway?

I don't think he will be a long term starter for the team and it's not like the Jags are in contention anymore either, so... hmmm... It's unfortunate to see the way they turned on Gardner, (though Doug has never really been for him). I hope things end up working for Gardner somehow even if that's on another team. Which I suspect could happen.

I think that Khan is letting Doug choose whoever he wants to play at the QB position. I don't think he's interfering with that. And truth be told, I don't think he has enough football knowledge to do that, lol. I think that Khan does want to win games, and is trusting Doug and the coaching staff to make the "right" decision at who starts at QB. They are just doing what they want to do, one reason because Doug is petty.

I do wonder though if one reason Doug is making this decision is because he feels like he might actually be safe and be around next year. Help us and the Jags if he somehow manages to be safe and sticks around another season to coach. If so I think that this team could continue to have some of the issues they have now, even with a new QB at the helm.
