He looked every bit the franchise QB the first three games- even allowing for an off game against the Dolphins- until he fractured his thumb. Ridiculous to not put him back in now that he's healthy to see if his level of play raises back up.

Here's to Marrone and his henchmen getting pink slipped and Minshew getting paroled from this garbage skow to go to.a real NFL franchise like all the other escapees.

Yes especially if he wants to give the team the "best chance to win". Mike is not better than Gardner.

Doug should have tried to move past Gardner not disclosing the thumb injury. If he has trust issues regarding the disclosure of the injury, he needs to move past that. Especially with his job being on the line. Players play injured all of the time, with far worse injuries than Gardner had. Doug has punished him enough. He has never given Gardner his full support even when he helped save his job last year. (Doug should have been gone last year along with Todd.)

Mike has looked better than I thought he would at times, but playing him doesn't really fix anything. If the team wants to increase their chances of winning they should play Gardner. If they want to increase their chances of losing, play Jake. Mike is not the best option either way. And what Doug and the coaches is not really benefiting the team. Mike's not the long term answer for starter for this team and they already know he can be a backup.

No, once the trust is lost it's lost. And how can you say he didn't give him his full support? He benched Foles and put him back in mid-game. He went into this season with him as the undisputed starter. He kept him in when it was pretty clear something wasn't right. Then we find out that GM15 wasn't truthful about his physical condition? No, I really don't blame Marrone for staying away at that point, Gardner burned himself.
