I get what he was trying to say, but to me there is ZERO comparison between Trevor Lawrence and Jamarcus Russell.

I found this ridiculous as well.  Not all first picks are the same.  Someone has to go first.  In many drafts, a team will draft a quarterback just out of pure need.  The projected value can differ significantly from  year to year.  According to many, only Elway, Manning and Luck in NFL history were projected as highly as Lawrence.  If we have a 33% chance of getting the next Elway, a 33% chance of getting the next Manning and a 33% chance of getting the next Luck, I'm psyched.  Luck had a shortened career due to injuries, but was still clearly a franchise quarterback.  Do I even need to make a case for Elway or Manning?

Bears are still in playoff contention.  We'll have to see after next week, but given how close it is, it seems likely that the Colts game will have seeding implications too.  It would suck if the Colts had a meaningless game in terms of the standings and decided to rest its starters for the playoffs.  Of course, the Jaguars suck so bad, they would still likely lose.
