There are some obvious ways to make the pro bowl more interesting for fans and players.
Right now, the coaches are from the team with the best regular season record in each conference who did not go to the super bowl.
To make it more continuous with the playoffs, it should be the coaches who lost in the championship game, and their entire team should go with them. So they get to run some of the same game plans they're used to.
Then the best player from every other team not in the super bowl gets added to the roster. So every fan base has at least one player to watch. Local media picks that player. That way James Robinson isn't snubbed.
Then the best player at each position, as voted by the other players, gets added to the roster.
Each player gets whatever their regular weekly salary was for the game, and it's doubled if they win.
