Nah. Could Jones eventually develop to a better QB? Sure but that is kinda the deal with any NFL QB based on the situation they are in and the team they go to.

There's a reason Tua was taken top ten and Jones is likely a late 1st or 2nd rounder. I think Jones didn't look great last year when he came in for Tua and this year has benefitted from an astronomical amount of talent around him. The wideouts have been better and deeper, the RB was unstoppable, the OL is was better this year...

And Saban speaks with his depth chart. Tua was better than Hurts, which is why Tua took over (even though Hurts bailed him out that one year) and Jones was stuck behind Tua until injury (and Tua being drafted)
