jags get first pick this year its good, and bad cause the first pick doesn't always end up being sussesful. wih that being said i would like to hear some reasons,if jags get lawance. he may decided to stay in clemson still we don't know.
lets so he declares for nfl, and jags draft him.
what are reasons he would fail in nfl besides a bad o-line like jags have. why do some people think 1 person can turn a frnchise around for? my dad, and i both think jags need a lot more then a top qb.
who would be a good HC for jags with larwence?
what reason do you think would cause him to be a succes in nfl? please write back soon as you can.
I think just about every realist on this board has been saying a top QB alone is not going to turn a team's fortunes around.
Some reasons he might fail - we hire Ryan Grigson as GM (joking, but any GM who fails to put talent around the QB), injury, ego, intelligence (or lack thereof) are all factors that can lead to ANY QB failing. I assume TLaw can spell cat if you spot him the C and the T, and I haven't seen anything that says he will butt heads with a coach or have difficulty absorbing a playbook.
There's always learned helplessness - the idea that if you try your darnedest and fail every time, you eventually stop trying. I think that happened when Bortles was here, a lot of the supporting cast were busy waiting for the errant throw rather than going out and making a play. Again, I don't see that being a major concern with TLaw.
He's had success everywhere he's been so far. If he (or the team) struggles, how does he react? That is going to be the biggest hurdle at the beginning.
I am no expert on head coaches, but I think the best fit for any top pick QB is going to be either an HC or coordinator/QB coach that has a track record of developing young QB, with offensive schemes that are not going to subject them to a lot of risk early on. Quick plays to avoid big hits, safe passes to move chains, mixed in with some deep looks to keep the D on their heels. Brian Daboll out of Buffalo is a name that has surfaced lately, and please make sure that your dad understands that just because Marrone coached in Buffalo, they are not the same guy. I think for me, I have more coaches that I do not want us to hire as opposed to those who would be a good fit.
He'll be a success if he keeps his head on straight, and the team builds talent around him. He'll be a success if fans, coaches, and ownership do not expect to immediately transform into a dynasty.

As far as coach....Maybe Jim Harbaugh or Dabo Swinney.
If that's the case, just take all the responses and CTRL-H Lawrence with Wilson.
