I'll give the guy a SMALL amount of respect for playing the most demanding position on the field for 13 seasons. He was by all accounts a MEDIOCRE QB. He lucked into a Super Bowl title with the best defense of all time, and looking at his numbers, every single metric shows him as being subpar (55% completion percentage, more picks than TDs). Even in the Super Bowl: He went 12/25, 153 yards and a TD.

Even looking at his "Elite 11" QB camps.....a lot of the guys who go through there don't amount to anything. Which is funny...because Trevor Lawrence went through in 2017. Same class as Justin Fields who won the MVP. Dilfer is blowing the horn for Fields:

Here's what Dilfer has to say: “If Lawrence goes to a place with poor offensive vision, and so much of it is scheme-based in the NFL. But if he goes to a place with a poor offensive line and you don’t have at least two other Top-50 players in the league, which usually need to be a pass catcher and a runner, and then you need a Top-100-200 either tight end or slot receiver – if you don’t have those things, yeah, he could be screwed up."

Sounds like he might be okay considering we have Chark, Cole, Shenault along with James Robinson.
