I admittedly do not like Chaisson, but the kid has been playing out of position all season. He is a pure 3-4 OLB. For that matter, so was Allen, but he made the adjustment fairly quickly. The difference was that Allen had help along the D-Line in his rookie season to draw pressure away from him. Between the injuries and playing with no other pass rushing threats, he regressed rapidly in 2020. Chaisson needs desperately to go back to a 3-4 scheme if he wants to find success in the NFL. If we make the transition, he should play a lot better, but he's never gonna be good in a 4-3 scheme. He just gets hung up on too many blocks. He needs to play in space, where he can utilize his speed. If we stick with the 4-3 scheme, we might as well trade him and get something back. Hopefully, we hire a HC that sees the potential on this team for a switch to a 3-4 defense though.
