Why Getting the Right GM Matters More Than Trevor Lawrence

What the article should have pointed out is that of the 8 divisional champions, You have 6 Tried and True Franchise QB's, Ryan Tannehill who just threw for 3800 yards, 33 tds 7 picks and looks like someone taking the step to becoming a Franchise Guy and Alex Smith a quality qb (who oddly enough was drafted #1 overall). The fact most of them weren't drafted #1 overall speaks to the eccentricities of the QB position and the difficulty evaluating it, not the lack of its importance. GM's come and go, Coaches Come and go. You have to have THE GUY! IF Lawrence is THE GUY then he trumps everything. |
