The stimulus problem
|
Real stimulus would be cutting taxes. I caught a small blurb that I heard today (didn't hear the whole discussion) regarding capital gains. It seems that some democrats want to tax capital gains, even if the owner of a stock doesn't sell it. That's a real quick way to kill investment and the economy. However, there is a very loud segment of the democrat party that is all about "spreading the wealth" and "fairness" and this would be the way that they would "pay for it".
Regarding the "stimulus" payments being handed out, I am very much against it. As I said before, real stimulus would be lowering taxes and allow people, investors and business to keep more that they earned. There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't. |
