HOU is tight against the cap, currently showing an overage for next year. I think they can rework some deals or purge some of the roster to get back under.

On Watson's side, I think he is absolutely tradeable with that deal. You aren't trading for the prorated bonus, HOU would eat that as dead money; the guarantees come out to 2 years for $45.5M. After that, you could actually cut him with no dead money on your own cap. Or, more likely, you redo the deal (which I am sure he will request, if he has an agent worth a darn) to convert the remaining salary into a bonus to spread out the $30-odd million price tags at the end of his deal.

Someone like SF would be a great spot for him to land. They are probably the most built team in need of QB.
