When I speak to weaponizing institutions, it is the LEFT that has consistently pushed out any opposing voice. Big Tech is overtly censoring conservatives. Studies show that University hires discriminate based on political ideology. Same is true in journalism. You have seen entire editorial boards run off any journalists with a dissenting opinion, even those who self-identify as left. Why stop there? Let's vet the military now. If you think this is a one time thing, you haven't been paying attention. History has shown time and time again, that power corrupts. The left in this country has an unprecedented level of power. If we make it through this four years without seeing major institutional changes, I will be shocked.

They're not "vetting the military to see who supported Trump."  They're vetting the National Guard troops who will be guarding the inauguration, to make sure none of them are wackos, Q-anon adherents, etc.  To do a background check on people who are holding loaded weapons around the President of the United States is prudent, that's all.

You're splitting hairs, bro. The national guard is a reserve component of our military, and they are being vetted ahead of Biden's inauguration. There was no objection to the use of the national guard by conservatives here. It was only brought up in the context that the FBI is now actively scanning for "dangerous" Trump supporters. 2 National Guard have already been removed for ties to far right organizations. Wonder if we'll ever get that info? I bet one frequents Barstool Sports too often. I'm admittedly being a bit hyperbolic, but my point has merit. If Trump had done anything like this, it would be proof of his "isms." Funny how that narrative works.

The left has a track record of aggressively discriminating against their political opponents and promoting activist officials. Expect to see more of this in the next few years.
