Chad Henne is a below average starting QB. He will never get much better then what he is right now. He has a career losing record and will in all likelyhood will end his career that way. He is his own worst enemy at times and because of this, he will NEVER strike fear in his opponents. He will have stretches during games where he actually looks like an above average NFL starting QB and he will move the team down the field, but don't be fooled by this, because it will not last for long. 

 

There will be the occasional TD as a result of his above average stretch, but unfortunately, more often then not, the hot streak will end with a batted down pass, an INT, an incomplete pass that ends up 5 yds or more from the WR or a sack. If the Jags are lucky, they will be able to salvage a FG out of it.

 

CH also seems to play his best when the game is out of reach, which leads to some very misleading stats at the end of the game. Why can't he play like this when the game is still in doubt you will be asking yourself? He just can't, accept it.

 

The Jags did win 4 games in the 2nd half of the season last year, but all 4 wins were not because of Henne playing better. A couple of them were in spite of Henne, which is just not a good sign.

 

My take on CH is that he's just way too inconsistent, esp for a 6 yr vet. Sometimes he looks good out there, sometimes he looks like the Chad Henne we all know, and unfortunately, sometimes he looks like Chad Hiney.
