There's plenty of evidence for it. I've posted about this multiple times. Studies that look how journalists vote show that a vast majority are left of the average voter. There are other studies that just asks journalists how they self-identify politically. Again, overwhelmingly liberal. This is in contrast to the 80's, where about 25% were conservatives, 40% were liberals, and the remainder were independents. Five years ago, a similar study showed those numbers were now 7% conservatives, 50% independent, and the rest identify as liberals. Before you use that to justify moderate news outlets, when they surveyed the independents on individual issues, the results came back showing most of them being far left of center, so basically they are your Bernie bros that no longer identify as democrats. Combine that with the studies that show that leftists either consciously or subconsciously hire based on political values, and you have the recipe for extreme leftward trajectory an any corporation that holds progressive views. Which, btw, is exactly what the data shows. The left has gone left at a much further pace than the right has gone right.

I'm going to assume your counterpoint to this will be an infographic that tries to rank news outlets based on subjective claims and slaps several news outlets in the center, but that's worthless... kind of like politifact.

CNN and MSNBC used to be left leaning, but they are now decisively left. Same with the NYTimes and WaPost. There have been changes among their editorial boards that have promoted progressives and ousted moderates. With that change, comes a change in headlines and content. Not only is the news left leaning, so is big tech, which has been the alternative source of news. This has also happened at the Atlantic, and NPR. People don't believe and repeat misinformation unless there is a tool to organize and promote it, and that is the <insert whatever word you understand for the MSM>.

The original article in this thread is pointing out how the media is responsible for the misinformation that is occurring in our general population. Yet, that is exactly the charge Democrats are levying at conservative news outlets. I am sure you can get behind that sentiment, even though it's the exact same claim being made by Republicans. Are the Democrats lying, too? Or is only Fox, OANN, and NewsMax partisan?
