That gives us 5 years, plus a franchise tag year if we can't sign him to a long term extension.   And if we can sign him to a long term extension, usually a team can make that very cap friendly in the first year or two.  So, basically saying, we have plenty of time.  

But I expect a fairly quick turnaround, contending for the division by 2022 at the latest.  We're going to have a lot of young players, and a lot of new players, and I expect some difficulty starting out.

Not to mention a new coaching staff led by a rookie HC.

This will be an interesting year. Hopefully one not in the typical Jaguars fashion which begins with high hopes from a solid win and the subsequent fiery spiral into the ground.
