My first drive experience outside of driver's ed in high school was my mom's '74 Ford F-100 pick-up. It was a "three on the tree" and I was terrified of it. Lol. After awhile I figured it out and loved it. I've always preferred stick shift over automatic. My SIL couldn't drive a stick to save her life and has no intention of learning. I told her she's missing out on living her best life.

Speaking of Europe; I was beyond thankful I knew how to drive a stick while living in Germany because yes, the only rentals they had were manual transmission.
